Children of all ages will feel just as at home in the surroundings of our child‑friendly hotel in the Black Forest as they do in the hotel itself. Our children's playground, our Kinderparadies with childcare, the indoor and outdoor pools, family sauna and of course a wide range of leisure activities await you on your family holiday in the Black Forest, to ensure there’s no question of getting bored here.
Kinderparadies (children’s paradise) and childcare
At the Altes Schulhaus (Old Schoolhouse) in Freiamt, right next to the Hotel Ludinmühle, the family‑friendly hotel in the Black Forest, a children's paradise with that special flair awaits.
The two play rooms have cuddly toys for children to play with, books to loose themselves in, a play kitchen and board games to play with to their hearts’ content.
These great facilities are available to all parents, grandparents and their children outside of childcare hours.
Children's school holidays activities programme
During the vacation periods, our childcare offers a varied children's program if required and available (not on Sundays and public holidays).
Exploration tour, treasure hunt or Brettenbach hike - adventure and creativity are guaranteed during the children's program with childcare at the child-friendly hotel in the Black Forest.
But even just doing crafts and playing together will make our little guests' eyes light up.
We are happy to take your requests regarding childcare times in advance. This service is free of charge for up to 4 hours a day.
In the real kitchen, the children can help with baking and cooking together. And when tiredness calls, a crib and playpen are available.
Outside of childcare hours, parents can use the play facilities in the children's paradise with their children.
Childcare outside of school holidays
We will be happy to organise childcare outside of school holidays on request (not on Sundays and public holidays). We provide up to four hours’ childcare per family per day free of charge. During this time, your children will be looked after in a group with others.
If you wish your children to have individual childcare, we will be happy to arrange this for the relevant fee. Just ask for individual childcare at Reception.
Playground and leisure activities
Right next to the Stammhaus (original building) of our child‑friendly hotel in the Black Forest, children can enjoy our in‑house playground with slide, climbing wall, basket swing, rocking animal and sandpit. The playground is bordered by meadows and the idyllic natural surroundings of the Brettental.
Around the hotel there are various circular routes of between 3 and 8 km in length, which are ideal for a family walk in the Black Forest. The Black Forest offers a whole range of leisure activities for children and families, ensuring that no‑one gets bored on their family holiday.
